Delaware’s Department of Correction says two more inmates at Vaughn Correctional Center have died from COVID-19.

69-year-old Richard Roth and 64-year-old Peter Schellinger had multiple underlying conditions in addition to COVID-19.

A total of six inmates have died during the pandemic.  All were from Vaughn prison.

DOC also says three more inmates at Vaughn have tested positive – along with two correctional officers there.

In all, 139 inmates have tested positive to date.  59 have recovered.

80 correctional officers, staff and contract workers have tested positive overall – with 12 recovered.
