Coronavirus cases in Delaware remain on an upward trend as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend approaches.
Gov. John Carney's updated restrictions on public and private gatherings went into effect Monday and the state has seen a surge in people seeking tests before the holiday.
Monday, another school district, the Christina School District, announced it is temporarily returning to full remote learning, citing "concerns in operational management." It will be all virtual through Friday Dec. 4.
Tuesday, the Carney administration announced a new $45 million Higher Education Relief Fund to help First State colleges and universities cover coronavirus related costs.
Carney holds his latest press briefing on the state's reponse to the pandemic Tuesday afterboon at 1:45 p.m. Division of Public Health director Dr. Karyl Rattay and Delaware Emergency Management Agency Director AJ Schall are scheduled to join him.
