MegaMillions is holding a New Year’s Day drawing for only the fifth time ever.
Nobody hit the winning numbers in last Friday night’s drawing, so the top prize now stands at an estimated $415 million. And officials say it is expected to move a tad higher ahead of the drawing Tuesday night.
The winner of Tuesday night’s jackpot could also opt take a one time cash option of $248.8 million.
Delaware has never had a MegaMillions jackpot winner.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot currently stand at less than 1 in 300 million.
The numbers drawn on December 28th were 9-10-25-37 and 38. The MegaBall was 21.
Six people won $1 million by matching the five white balls without the gold MegaBall— and 36 people won $10,000 by matching four white balls and the MegaBall.
