Bracing for a COVID resurgence

COVID-19 numbers in Delaware have returned to a level not seen since the spring and early summer.

A recent study concluded that Delaware’s early efforts to control the pandemic were effective, just as Gov. Carney considers bringing back some restrictions to keep cases down as the holiday season approaches.

Delaware Public Media’s Sophia Schmidt talks with Delaware State Univ. professor Donna Patterson, global health and epidemics expert, about the state's fight against the virus.

 

 

Sophia Schmidt is a Delaware native. She comes to Delaware Public Media from NPR’s Weekend Edition in Washington, DC, where she produced arts, politics, science and culture interviews. She previously wrote about education and environment for The Berkshire Eagle in Pittsfield, MA. She graduated from Williams College, where she studied environmental policy and biology, and covered environmental events and local renewable energy for the college paper.
