Dover Air Force Base pharmacy closed due to possible Coronavirus exposure

Delaware Public Media
DOver Air Force Base has shut down its pharmacy because of possible COVID-19 exposure.

The pharmacy at Dover Air Force Base is closed until further notice.

The base says 436th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Matthew Jones shut the pharmacy down out of an abundance of caution related to possible COVID-19 exposure.

The closure was ordered Thursday in line with Department of Defense and Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

The pharmacy is expected to remain closed for approximately one week based on ongoing public health assessments.

Those who use the Base pharmacy should call it and have prescriptions transferred to a civilian pharmacy, or to Express Scripts.
