The City of Rehoboth Beach is once again partnering with the Blood Bank of Delmarva for a blood drive.
It’s the second time Rehoboth has teamed up with the Blood Bank to encourage blood donations.
“We had a blood drive with the Blood Bank of Delmarva back in May. And we had 84 donors that generously came and donated blood,” said Krys Johnson, Rehoboth’s communications director.
This fall blood drive is Monday, October 7, 2019 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Convention Center.
And Johnson says they’re hoping more people will turn out this time, “As we know blood drive partners are an essential part of the life-saving network, connecting generous blood donors to patients who need blood to survive.”
Johnson says Type O-positive and Type O-negative blood is always needed as are platelets and plasma.
You can book an appointment to donate blood in Rehoboth Monday, by calling 1-888-8-BLOOD-8. Johnson says appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
