A newly minted Wilmington police officer has been arrested on terroristic threatening charges and fired from the force.
Officer Julian Michel was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into an off-duty incident, according to a police alert.
He was arraigned and released on bond, and discharged from the force shortly thereafter. He'd been an officer for about a year.
A terroristic threat is a prohibited form of speech that involves making a threat of violence intended to terrorize a person, group or place.
Wilmington Police didn't immediately return requests seeking clarification.
