One of Delmarva’s largest poultry processors is announcing a change in leadership.
Allen Harim is naming Joe Moran as their new CEO, replacing Steven Evans.
Moran is a relative newcomer to Allen Harim. He was hired last November as its executive director and a member of the company’s leadership council.
Moran previously worked as an executive at Mountaire Farms in Millsboro with more than 30 years of experience in the poultry industry.
He also oversaw the recent upgrades at Allen Harim’s Harbeson plant, in the process laying off more than 100 workers at the company’s Cordova, Maryland plant that’s being absorbed.
The company would only say that Moran is leaving "to pursue another opportunity in the industry."
