Rehoboth Beach tree lighting and sing-along canceled due to COVID-19

The City of Rehoboth Beach has canceled its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and sing-along due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A holiday-related event is the latest casualty of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Rehoboth Beach says it will not host its annual public tree lighting and sing-along this year.

The resort’s Christmas tree will still be on display and lit throughout the holiday season, starting on Black Friday; Jerry Owens of Lewes is donating this year’s Christmas tree.

Also starting on Friday, November 27 and continuing throughout the weekend, holiday music will be piped throughout the bandstand area for people to enjoy.
