Annual Sea Witch Festival postponed due to COVID-19

via City of Rehoboth website
COVID-19 has forced the postponement of the annual Sea Witch Festival.

Another major event in Delaware is postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 31st annual Sea Witch Festival in October will not be held because  it cannot meet state’s COVID-19 regulations and mandates.

The Rehoboth Beach - Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce made the announcement on its Facebook page Monday.

Sea Witch regularly draws an estimated 200,000 people to downtown Rehoboth every fall. Besides the large costume parade down Rehoboth Avenue, the event hosts a pet parade on the Boardwalk, children’s games on the beach and lots of food vendors.

Sea Witch organizers say they plan to hold next year's event Oct. 29, 2021 through Oct. 31, 2020.
