Delaware’s COVID-19 death toll now tops 300 and its total numbers of cases to date has passed 8,000.

At the same time, the state is getting set to open its beaches more for this weekend's Memorial Day holiday, and preparing to start Phase 1 of a formal reopening June 1.

Gov. John Carney will discuss recent developments in the state's COVID-19 response at his Tuesday press briefing.
