Conrad Schools of Science have been closed today because of an emergency New Castle County Police are responding to in the Boxwood Rd. area of Newport.
A tweet posted early Friday morning by New Castle County Police Department urges residents to "avoid the area of Boxwood Road." It notes that four nearby intersections have been closed.
An alert on Conrad Schools of Science's website signed by Principal Mark Pruitt, Jr. reads, "Because of an ongoing incident in New Castle County and Conrad's use as a staging area for emergency personnel for this incident, school will be closed today."
