Celebration of Life set to honor CAMP Rehoboth co-founder Steve Elkins

Steve Elkins' Family
The life and work of CAMP Rehoboth’s executive director and longtime fighter for equality legislation in Delaware is being remembered. ";

Plans to remember CAMP Rehoboth co-founder and a longtime equality activist Steve Elkins are taking shape.

The 67-year-old Elkins died on March 15th after suffering from lymphoma.

A Life Memorial webpage has been set up for Elkins at the Parsell Funeral Homes website, and his husband, Murray Archibald, and his friends are planning to come together to remember him next month.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Epworth United  Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach Monday, April 9, starting at 11 am.  Visitation starts at 9:30 that morning.

When CAMP Rehoboth formed in 1991, Rehoboth Beach was not accepting of the gay community; Elkins though, helped to transform the City into an inclusive place.

Steve’s husband and family say flowers are welcome, but they are also asking that donations be made to CAMP Rehoboth.
