Next month’s Firefly Music Festival in Dover is asking for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to attend.

AEG Presents operates Firefly and recently announced that rising cases of coronavirus due to the Delta Variant is prompting its move to require attendees to show their COVID vaccination card or proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours.

A physical or digital copy of a vaccination card will be accepted.

Firefly officials also plan to limit the four-day festival to 50,000 people each day.  The event is set to run from September 23rd to 26th.

AEG Presents notes that if infection rates and transmission data improves prior to the festival, it may reverse the policy.

At this time, Firefly attendees will not be required to wear face coverings while attending the festival.

This year’s Firefly headliners include Billie Eilish and Lizzo.

Firefly was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
