The Blue Hen football team sees its NCAA playoff run come to a screeching halt.
The Hens fall in the FCS national semifinals with a 33-3 loss to top-seed South Dakota State University on the road – ending their quest to reach the championship game for the first time since 2010.
The Jackrabbits harassed the UD offense all game long, limiting Delaware to 216 yards while registering 7 sacks. Delaware’s only points came on a first quarter field goal
On the other side of the ball, UD’s defense yielded 354 yards – well above the 233 per game it had allowed coming into the contest.
Delaware ends its COVID-delayed spring season with a 7-1 record.
