Wesley College quarterback Joe Callahan is adding another honor to his resume.

The record-setting senior grabbed the quarterback slot on the American Football Coaches Association’s (ACFA) Division III All-American team.

Callahan set the NCAA Division III single–season record for passing yards this year with 5,063 while throwing for 55 touchdowns. He joins Hawaii's Colt Brennan as the only college quarterbacks ever to throw for 5,000 yards or more and 55 touchdowns or more in a single season in any NCAA level.

Callahan is the 15th Wolverine ever to earn a spot on the coaches’ All-American team and extends Wesley’s streak of putting a player on the team to 11 straight years - the longest current streak in Division III.

Callahan is also one of four finalists race for Division Three football’s version of the Heisman Trophy – the Gagliardi Trophy.  It's the second year he's made the final four for the award.

The winner will be announced this Wednesday as part of the festivities surrounding the Division III title game – the Stagg Bowl.
