If you are looking to celebrate July 4th with a fireworks show, there are plenty up and down the state. Elsmere gets thing started with its display Friday, July 3. Most of the other displays are scheduled for July 4th itself, except for the one inRehoboth Beach, which caps off the holiday weekend on Sunday, July 5th.

NEW CASTLE CO.
Elsmere (July 3) - Fireworks at dusk at Fairgrounds Park. Independence Day celebration begins at 5 pm. More info here.
Hockessin – Fireworks at dusk at Hockessin Public Library. Parade at 3 pm along Old Lancaster Pike from Kenwick Rd. to Valley Rd. "Great American Gut Buster Food Devouring Spectacle" eating contest at 2:30 pm at George & Sons Seafood. More info here.
Middletown - Fireworks at Silver Lake Park at dusk. Jaycees annual parade starts at 10 a.m. at Everett Meredith Middle School. More info here.
Newark – Fireworks at dusk at the University of Delaware athletic complex. Live music starts at 6 pm. More info here.
Wilmington Riverfront – Fireworks at dusk at Tubman-Garrett Park. 4th of July activities including music, games and rise for kids starts at 2pm. More info here.
CENTRAL DELAWARE
Dover - Fireworks around 9:20 pm. Activities throughout the day starting at 9 am, including a parade at 6 pm along State St. and a concert by the 287th Army Band of the Delaware National Guard at 8 pm. More info here.
Smyrna - Fireworks at dusk across from Smyrna High School on Duck Creek Parkway. Parade on Main St. starts at 9:30 a.m. Carnival activities all day at George C. Wright Memorial Park starting at 10 a.m. More info here

Bethany Beach - Fireworks at dusk. Parade at noon starting at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Garfield Parkway. Live music at the bandstand at 7:30 pm. More info here.
Dewey Beach - Fireworks at dusk launched from a barge in the Rehoboth Bay. More info here.
Laurel - Fireworks at dusk. Games and activities at Market Square Park starting at 4 pm. Little Miss Independence Pageant is at 7 p.m, followed by live music before fireworks. More info here.
