Delaware reports three new deaths and another day of elevated coronavirus spread

The coronavirus is continuing to spread in Delaware at elevated levels.

The state reports 344 new cases Tuesday. That raises Delaware’s seven-day rolling average to a new record yet again. It now sits at just over 347 cases per day.

And there have been three more coronavirus-related deaths in the state bringing Delaware’s death toll to 739.

Statewide hospitalizations also continue to rise with 12 more reported today. That number is now at 153 - the highest since June 2nd.

The average percentage of positive tests in Delaware is at 5.5 percent for a second day in a row.

Delaware is approaching the 30,000 mark for total positive cases since the start of the pandemic. That number is now at 29,552.
