The Delaware Division of Public Health is announcing four more cases of the mumps in New Castle County.
This brings the total to 19 for the year. It’s the first time since at least 2005 the state has seen more than three mumps cases in a single year.
At least 11 of the mumps cases are confirmed to have been involved with one of two Wilmington dance events.
DPH urges anyone who attended, or lives with someone who attended, a Baile Mejicano dance on either February 10, or March 3 at the Chase Center to see their primary care physician.
