One new COVID-19 death, 42 cases announced Wednesday

Delaware added one death and 42 new COVID-19 cases to its totals Wednesday. 

The state’s death toll now stands at 505 and it now has 10,889 positive cases since March 11th. 

The one death announced today was a 70-year-old New Castle County man with underlying health conditions. 

Current hospitalizations were down for the first time in three days, dropping 6 to 85 with 18 people critically ill.

The number of people considered recovered rose by 44 to 6,598.

Over to 87,000 Delawareans have tested negative for the coronavirus.
