Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The First State has no new COVID-19-related deaths for the first time in two months.

Delaware’s Public Health Division announced Monday no deaths were reported Sunday.

It’s Delaware’s first day without a coronavirus death since April 4th.  The death toll remains at 398.

Positive cases inched closer to the 10,000 mark.  State health officials report 30 new cases bringing the overall total to 9,972.

Twenty-five new cases were reported in New Castle County.  Sussex County had seven and Kent County only two.

Ten more COVID-19 patients landed in the hospital ending a steady two week decline in hospitalizations. Current hospitalizations stand at 113 with 22 people critically ill.

Overall, 5,791 Delawareans recovered from the virus-one less from Sunday after state health officials found a duplicate entry.
