DART is reducing public transit service until further notice due to the presence of the new coronavirus in Delaware—and the resulting business closures and lower ridership levels.
Starting Wednesday, regular fixed route services statewide are operating on a Saturday service schedule during weekdays. Additional service is being added on Routes 15, 18, 43 and 301.
Paratransit service is maintaining normal hours.
DART is also offering free bus rides to students on regularly scheduled bus routes to access school meal programs during the statewide public school closure.
The Customer Service call center hours will only operate during normal business hours Monday through Friday. All DART ticket stores are closed until further notice.
Delaware Transit Authority officials say DART buses and lobbies continue to be disinfected.
They advise anyone feeling sick not to ride public transportation.
