More Delawareans are recovering from COVID-19 while the latest positive case numbers and deaths remain low.
Delaware’s Public Health Division announced Thursday fifty new positive cases statewide. The total now stands at 10,106 since March 11th.
Only one new death was reported pushing the death toll to date to 414. The latest victim was a 62-year-old Kent County man resident with underlying health conditions.
State health officials note 390 of those COVID-19 related deaths are confirmed with 24 listed as probable. Probable deaths include individuals with symptoms clinically consistent with COVID-19 and were exposed to a confirmed case, but were never tested.
Sixty-two more patients recovered from the virus. That takes the overall total to 6,001. There are currently 109 hospitalizations with 18 people critically ill.
And, the results of 63,927 COVID-19 tests in the First State have returned negative.
