Hosfelt wins Kent Co. Levy Court special elections

Delaware Public Media

Kent County voters in Levy Court’s 2nd District have picked a new representative.

Republican James Hosfelt won the Tuesday’s District 2 special election, defeating Democrat Andrea Kreiner.

The former Dover police chief and current Dover city council member won easily 1,107 seven votes to 660 – a margin of 63 to 37 percent.  The turnout was just over 8 percent.

Hosfelt will replace Democrat Brad Eaby on Kent County Levy Court. Eaby stepped down to take a job with the state.
