Interstate mass shooting suspect gets 40 years for crimes in Delaware

Wilmington Police Dept.

The man convicted of a Wilmington shooting last fall and suspected of a mass shooting in Maryland that took place the same day was sentenced to 40 years in prison this week.

The 38-year-old Radee Prince is accused of shooting five people, killing three, at his former workplace in Maryland before driving to Wilmington to shoot 35-year-old Rashan Baul at a used car lot last October.

Baul survived, and Prince was arrested later that night in Glasgow after a foot chase with police.

Prosecutors agreed to try Prince in Delaware first, in part, becauseDelaware criminal law does not provide for parole while parole may be available in Maryland.

Prince was convicted by a Superior Court jury in May of attempted manslaughter, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first degree reckless endangering, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and resisting arrest.

He still faces three counts of first-degree murder in Maryland.
