A new group is forming locally to offer support to parents, families, and caregivers of transgender children and adults in the First State.
The Delmarva chapter of TransParent, a national organization headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, holds an organizational meeting Oct. 15 in Lewes.
Delaware Public Media’s Sarah Mueller recently caught up with the Delmarva chapter’s founder, Rev. Rita Nelson to discuss her desire to create this support group, and her journey with her own transgender daughter.
