Delawareans across the state are taking advantage of some spring-like weather here in February.

Families packed Brecknock County Park in Camden Tuesday to enjoy the winter “heatwave”.

From playing tag to swinging to walking Brecknock’s mile loop trail, Kent County residents found many ways to make the most of Tuesday’s 70-degree weather.

"It feels so good, because it's been cold a lot, and now it finally feels good!" said Amari Maldonado, 9.

Camden resident Leon Simms and his wife, Santana took their two children to the park to get some fresh air before sunset. They watched their 9-year-old son, Jordan swing on the monkey bars.

"We went on the slide, we walked around a bit on the trail surrounding the park and this little castle, up and down up and down trying to keep up with him," Leon Simms said.

Simms says the warm February weather is wonderful, but he’s not getting his hopes up for it to stay.

High temperatures will drop into the 50s next week.
