It may be a little while before spring fever sets in but Delawareans could come down with a case of Powerball fever this week.
Wednesday’s estimated Powerball jackpot has jumped to $400 million after the winning numbers went unmatched Saturday. The game has not had a winner since November 4th.
The prize would be one of the biggest in lottery game history. This jackpot is the sixth largest in Powerball history and ninth all-time in the U.S. It’s also the largest since three winners split a $564 million dollar prize last February.
But don’t make big plans just yet. The odds of matching all six Powerball numbers in Wednesday’s drawing is 1 in 292.2 million.
The biggest Powerball jackpot ever was $590.5 million in 2013 when an 84-year-old Florida woman bought the ticket after another customer let her go ahead in line.
