The Delaware State Fair’s attendance numbers are in and it's good news for event organizers.
General Manager Bill DiMondi says the fair’s 2015 edition was the best in recent memory with over 311,000 visitors to Harrington. That’s up 10 percent over last year and marks the fair’s second best 10-day attendance.
Additionally, the fair’s carnival set an all-time sales record. The Wade Shows provided 56 rides and attractions and reported a gross exceeding over $1.1 million, up 6% compared to 2014.
DiMondi adds that good weather played into the fair’s success with 10 days of mild temperatures and dry skies.
The dates for next year’s Delaware State Fair are Thursday July 21, through Saturday July 30, 2016.
