Delaware gas prices remain steady for two weeks

Delaware Public Media

First State gas prices remain steady for a second week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in First State has remained steady at $2.67 over the past week.

That price is still nearly a dollar less than what Delaware drivers were paying a year ago at an average of $3.60.

Delaware-gas-prices-dot-com reports there are just under a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $2.59 or slightly less  – several of them are located in Dover.

Delaware drivers are paying 13 cents below the national average, which rose five cents to $2.80 since last week.

According to AAA, motorists are now experiencing the lowest summer gas prices in six years. Officials expect that prices may drop in the coming weeks. Typically, prices tend to go flat or decline in June, due to the end of refinery maintenance season.
