The fall NASCAR race weekend at Dover International Speedway this year is a special one.
Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup "Drydene 400" is 100th Cup series race at the Monster Mile. That makes Dover one of only 10 tracks all-time to host 100 races.
And the track’s new Cup series garage makes its debut this weekend. The 5.5 million dollar project was started immediately following Dover’s spring race weekend – replacing the old garage between Turns 1 and 2 with one that is 28 percent bigger.
Sunday’s "Drydene 400" is the first race in round two of Cup series playoffs. 12 drivers remain in the championship chase.
Action on the Monster Mile Friday is highlighted by the "General Tire 125" NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race. That starts at 5pm.
