Former DuPont employee charged with stealing secrets

A New Jersey man faces up to 10 years in prison for stealing DuPont company trade secrets.

Former DuPont employee Anchi Hou was arrested last week at his home in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

According to the Department of Justice, Hou allegedly copied or removed tens of thousands of files from DuPont’s manufacturing facility in Parin, New Jersey.

In a release, the Department of Justice said the files contained formulas and customer information related to DuPont’s printing plate technology.

Hou is also accused of taking photos of equipment and layouts in restricted areas of the plant.

Hou has admitted to copying the files to help with his consulting business. In addition to jail time, he could face a fine of up to $250,000 or twice the value of the stolen information.
