The Historic Odessa Foundation (HOF) is presenting a new exhibit this month.

“Exchanging Points of View: Art by The Artists’ Exchange of Delaware” can be seen at the Historic Odessa Foundation’s Visitors Center Gallery through December 29.

The Artist’ Exchange formed 19 years ago. The group of professional artists shares a contemporary focus and displays their work regionally.

One of the artists, Laura Hickman, considers herself to be a representational landscape painter.  She has three of the 40 pieces in this exhibit.

“One of my pieces is an historic barn there - at the Foundation. And  another one is a downtown Leipsic pastel and the third one is an old cottage from Bethany, which is where I’m from,”said Hickman.

The goals of the Artist’s Exchange include elevating the quality of each member’s work by providing a forum for exchanging ideas and critiques, while promoting, showing and selling high-quality original art.

Eileen Olson is also among the artists featured in the exhibition.

"It's always great to get my artwork out to other areas of Delaware and to meet different people and to exhibit with this group," said Olson. "This is my first time I’ve had a major exhibit with this group. I’ve been a member for about three years.”

Olson has five pieces in the show.  She describes herself as an abstract expressionist and says she’s been painting since she was about 6- or 7-years-old.

The exhibit features 40 works of art. Other artists include Constance Costigan, Caroline Huff, Michael Krausz, Vic tor Letonoff, Marti Marino, Nina Mickelsen, Lee Wayne Mills, Aina Nergaard-Nammack and Steve Rogers.
