Delaware Shakespeare back on stage with Henry V
Delaware Shakespeare is celebrating its 15th summer season with a production of Henry V.
The play is the story of a young English king who tries to prove himself by invading France.
"So in a time in our area where we have a whole bunch of new leaders, new governor, new mayor, new city council, it seemed like a really interesting time to do this play and take a look at leadership and what we as a people want from our leaders," Producing Artistic Director David Stradley said.
The production features minimal actors and props, just how Shakespeare envisioned it.
The play will be performed in the round, with the audience multiple sides of the stage.
Henry V opens July 14 at Rockwood Park in Wilmington and runs through Sunday the 30.
