Mezzanine Gallery taking applications for 2017-2018 schedule

Delaware Division of the Arts

Every year visual artists from across the state go through a lengthy application process to exhibit in the Delaware Division of the Arts’ Mezzanine Gallery.

The gallery, located in the Carvel State Building in Wilmington, showcases a featured artist monthly in the 2017-2018 season.

"We’re looking for people who are professional visual artists, who are Delaware residents, that are at least 18 and are not enrolled in a degree-granting institution," DDOA Program Officer Roxanne Stanulis said.

Applications are reviewed by a gallery panel of artists, venue owners and former DDOA fellows.

The DDOA has up to five slots to fill for the 2017-2018 Mezzanine calendar.

"Each month there’s a new featured artist. We usually have receptions the first Friday of the month to coincide with Wilmington's 'Art on the Town.'"

The Mezzanine Gallery's current lineup has a varied group of photographers, painters and crafters.

Delaware Public Media' s arts coverage is made possible, in part, by support from theDelaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
