Big stars to take the stage at Firefly 2017

Chance The Rapper, Twenty One Pilots, Muse, The Weeknd and music legend Bob Dylan highlight this year’s bill.

"The word that comes to mind when you think about this lineup is “eclectic.” We really have a range of artists," Christian Pheil with Red Frog Events said.

As usual, there is a little local flavor. Dover based hip hop group Trio made the cut, though officials say more local acts could be added later.

The music festival promises a bevy of well known acts including DJ Jazzy Jeff, known for his collaborations with Will Smith and his acting turn on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The lineup includes an Oscar award winning actor, too. Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds to Mars will be among the 140-plus acts performing over four days.

Rap fans, of a certain age, should be happy to hear that 90s icon Busta Rhymes is continuing his resurgence with a performance at Firefly.

The Brooklyn-born rapper is famous for his work with A Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliot and Dr. Dre, as well as his solo hits.
