You can walk the Monster Mile in Dover this weekend to support Autism Delaware.
This Saturday, May 4, 2019, the Autism Delaware Track Walk provides a rare opportunity to walk the Monster Mile on race weekend.
And Sunday, May 5, 2019, for an eighth straight year, the Autism Awareness Day at the Races program provides families with a sensory-friendly environment to enjoy the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.
“The Autism Awareness Day at the Races package is a Sunday-only package for families that have a child on the autism spectrum. The package includes a race ticket in our enclosed Grandstands on the back-stretch and it includes meals and driver appearances,” said Dover International Speedway’s communications manager Mike Lewis.
He describes the partnership with Autism Delaware as “special.”
“Not only for us but for the NASCAR folks," said Lewis. "We really get a good response from the drivers who make a good effort to get up to visit the fans.”

Autism Awareness Day at the Races is staffed by Autism Delaware’s adults services program, POW&R, and a portion of the proceeds support Autism Delaware.
