5 deaths, 76 new COVID-19 cases in First State Sunday

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Delaware COVID-19 numbers saw little movement Sunday.

State health officials reported 5 new deaths, bringing the state’s death toll since the pandemic began to 366.

The latest victims were between 65 and 93 years-old. Four lived in New Castle County and one in Sussex County. All five had underlying health conditions and lived in long-term care facilities.

New positive cases were up 76 Sunday.  The total since March 11th now stand at 9,498.  And the 5-day percentages of new cases and percent of people testing were also up slightly again.

But hospitalizations continue to decrease - down 14 to 160.  30 people are critically ill.

And more Delawareans are recovering from the disease.  State health officials report 61 additional recoveries.  The overall total is now 5,266.
