DSU welcomes VP Biden to 2016 graduation

Delaware State University is ready to welcome Vice President Joe Biden to its campus Saturday.

The Vice President is DSU’s 2016 commencement speaker.

The school’s graduation ceremony featuring Biden’s remarks begins at 9:15 Saturday morning at Alumni Stadium

He’ll be speaking to about 700 members of the Class of 2016, their families and others.

Biden previously delivered DSU’s commencement speech to 450 graduates in 2003 when he was still a U.S. Senator.

And two years ago as Vice President, he served as the University of Delaware’s commencement speaker.

DSU officials say the school’s 2016 graduation ceremony – and Biden’s speech – will help kick-off the school’s celebration of its 125th anniversary.
