A vigil for the correctional officer who was killed this week during a stand-off at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center is being held tonight.
The candlelight vigil honoring Sgt. Steven Floyd is at 6 p.m. tonight at Smyrna Municipal Park.
It is still unknown how exactly Floyd died.
The Correctional Officers Association of Delaware Union have also created a GoFundMe page, hoping to raise $30,000 to support Floyd’s family and the victims of the stand-off.
