Delaware State Police’s homicide unit is investigating the death of a 24-year-old Dover man found at the Port Mahon fishing pier Wednesday afternoon.
State police were called a little before 1 p.m. to an unresponsive man -- later identified as Dontray Hendricks -- who paramedics pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are now awaiting the results of an autopsy to figure out how Hendricks died.
The pier is a little under eight miles from central Dover in a rural area home to farm fields, and a hub for fishermen.
Police officials are not releasing any other information at this time, “...to not jeopardize the investigation.”
