It has been a week of sadness in the First State. Last weekend, former state attorney general Beau Biden – the eldest son of Vice President Joe Biden - died at age 46, losing his battle with brain cancer.Since that terrible news came there’s been an outpouring of condolences for the Biden family, along with remembrances of Beau -- his life and work.As the state grieves along with the Biden family and offers its support – it also celebrates Beau Biden’s life and the lasting legacy of public service he leaves behind.

State officials are closing several roads surrounding Legislative Hall and shuttling the public from a remote site for Thursday’s public viewing for former Attorney General Beau Biden at the state capital.

 

Those wishing to attend are encouraged to park at the south end of the Blue Hen Corporate Center and will be shuttled to Legislative Hall.

 

Bus service will begin at 12:30 p.m. and run until the event ends around 5 p.m.

 

Anyone going will also go through a security check. No bags, backpacks, sharp objects umbrellas, liquid or signs will be allowed inside.

 

Local DART bus service will also detour around the Legislative Mall area for the entire day.
