The University of Delaware’s men’s soccer team has been predicted as the preseason favorite in the Colonial Athletic Association Coaches Poll.
The defending conference regular season champions are the favorites to capture the league crown.
Delaware gathered 60 votes, including five first-place votes, in the poll, which included voting from each of the 10 league head coaches.
The Blue Hens posted a 13-6-1 overall record in 2014 and earned several national Top 25 national rankings throughout the year.
UD’s men’s soccer team have made two NCAA Tournament appearances in the last four seasons and also won the 2011 CAA Tournament title.
The Blue Hens lost the CAA Tournament finale last season 1-0 against James Madison.
The team hosts Central Arkansas to open the 2015-16 season, August 28.
