Delaware reports no new COVID-19 related deaths in the First State for the second time this week
The Division of Public Health says the state’s death toll remains at 414 since March 11th.
State health officials also report 67 new positive cases, pushing the total to date to 10,173.
Current hospitalizations dropped again, falling from 109 to 100.
And the 5–day percentage of people testing positive remains on a downward trend - dipping below 5 percent for past 4 days and resting at 2.5 as of Thursday.
Sixty-one more patients recovered from the virus. That takes the overall total to 6,062
And the results of more than 67,000 COVID-19 tests in the First State have returned negative.
DPH also offered its weekly update on long-term care facilities Friday. It reports long-term care facility residents accounted for 1,026 of the state’s positive COVID-19 cases and 263 of its 414 deaths. DPH also notes 433 positive cases, and one death among workers at those facilities.
To date, 31 long-term care facilities statewide have recorded at least one COVID-19 related death. 10 of those facilities have had 10 or more deaths. Harrison House Senior Living in Georgetown and Genesis Healthcare's Milford Center have had the most deaths, with 33 and 31 respectively.
