Forty-one new COVID-19 cases, two deaths found in Delaware

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Delaware health officials announced two more COVID-19 related deaths and 41 new cases Wednesday.

That brings the state’s death toll from the virus to 426. 

The latest victims were between 36 and 72 years-old. On lived in New Castle County and the other in Sussex County. Both individuals had underlying health conditions and one was a long-term care facility

The overall total of positive cases since March 11th now stands at 10,444.

Current hospitalizations dropped by four to 83, with 13 people critically ill. 

Forty-nine more recoveries were reported.  Recoveries in the First State are now at 6,305.  

Over 76,000 Delawareans have now tested negative for the virus.
