Three face murder charges in shooting death of Howard High student

Delaware Public Media

Three men and one woman have been indicted on charges relating to the murder of a 15-year-old Wilmington boy last month. The three men face murder charges in the case.

Brandon Wingo was shot and killed on May 19th as he walked home from Howard High School.

Thursday, the Delaware Attorney General's office announced 20-year old Kevon Harris-Dickerson and 19-year old Zaahir Smith of Newark, and 18-year old Diamonte Taylor of Wilmington have been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, gang participation and other related charges in connection with that shooting.

Police say they believe all three men were members of the Shoot To Kill, or STK, gang and participated in the planning and shooting of Wingo as part of activity by that gang.

34-year old Latasha Pierce, of Wilmington, was indicted on charges of giving a firearm to a person prohibited and other charges.

All three men were already in custody on charges related to other incidents - and are currently being held on bail at or exceeding $1.5 million.  Pierce was arrested Thursday morning.
