Delaware drivers won’t see much as much savings at the gas pump as they’ve been used to this week.
The average price for a gallon of regular didn’t budge over the past seven days, ringing in at $2.18 according to Triple-A Mid-Atlantic. Where drivers will see savings is compared to how much they were shelling out a year ago – on average $3.22 a gallon.
Typical prices across the country stalled as well, with the U-S average closing at $2.29.
Those wanting to save the most will have to trek to Elsmere according to Delawaregasprices.com, where two gas stations report selling a gallon of regular for $2.03.
Much of the cheapest gas in the First State is also in New Castle County.
Triple-A Mid-Atlantic says barring major supply disruptions, drivers might see $2.00 for a gallon of regular before the end of the year – the first time since 2009.
