UD football star gets NFL Combine invite

A University of Delaware stand-out will get a chance to show NFL teams what he can do.

Defensive back Nasir Adderley received an invitation to next month’s NFL Combine.

The combine is an opportunity for over 300 top college prospects eligible for the NFL Draft to work out for league scouts, coaches and executives.

Adderley was a two-time All-American during his UD career.   The Philadelphia native notched a career-high 87 tackles during the 2018 season, along with a team-high four interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Adderley is only the 8th Blue Hen ever to get a combine invitation.  He joins a select group that includes quarterback Joe Flacco and tight end Nick Boyle, currently with the Baltimore Ravens, and Chicago Bears defensive lineman Bilal Nichols.  Nichols participated in the NFL Combine last year before being taken by the Bears in the 5th round of the NFL Draft.

This year’s NFL Combine runs from February 26th to March 4th in Indianapolis.
