Rehoboth Beach businessman Dan Slagle has a new job.

Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Inc. has a new executive director.

Dan Slagle took over the position this week from Interim Director Lorraine Dion.

He has more than 30 years of small business experience, “I have a skill-set of successfully collaborating with Rehoboth Beach business owners, merchants, residents and community leaders to promote a positive image of downtown Rehoboth Beach.”

Slagle comes to Rehoboth Beach Main Street from Spice and Tea Exchange where he was previously store manager.

He says he’s ready to tackle a full agenda as he steps in as executive director,

“I want to talk about building improvements, the beautification for public spaces, design education and technical assistance, marketing research - I definitely want to drive business downtown. I want to be there for the businesses to assist - you know, help them drive their business. And I want to answer any questions they may have.”

Slagle has been a resident of the Rehoboth/Lewes area for more than 21 years - after moving to Sussex County from Newark.
