Delaware Public Media

Delaware gas prices continue to drop.

First State drivers saw the average price for a gallon of regular fall another 3 cents over the past week from $1.82 to $1.79, according to Triple-A Mid-Atlantic.

That’s 29 cents better than a year ago when the average prices stood at $2.08.

New Castle County continues to have the cheapest gas in the state this week. Delawaregasprices.com reports over a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $1.65 or less – with the lowest price $1.61 at stations in Elsmere and New Castle.

Nationwide, prices at the pump also continue to fall, shedding  an additional seven cents last week to stand at $1.83 a gallon.
